Kolkata: On the preset of Independence Day, Animal Rights activists in Kolkata are set to gather near Sealdah Railway Station for an extraordinary event titled 'Freedom For All'. This unique campaign aims to shed light on the importance of granting animals the freedom they rightfully deserve. In a world where animals often bear the brunt of human exploitation for various purposes such as food, clothing, and entertainment, this campaign serves as a clarion call to recognize their inherent right to freedom. The event advocates for ending Animal exploitation by embracing Veganism, which is not just as a diet, but a significant social justice movement for animals.

Vegans abstain from using or exploiting animals in any form, abstain from consuming animal products including dairy and honey. Consuming Animal Products is unnecessary as we humans can thrive on a plant based diet. This is backed by a substantial body of peer-reviewed research that attests to the viability and health benefits of thriving on a plant-based diet. The event will see passionate activists convene with compelling posters and demonstrating the plight of fish by enclosing themselves within symbolic nets.  Activists will display videos that show standard practices of industries that exploits Animals. Most people aren’t aware about standard practices of industries that exploit Animals. Say for instance, In Dairy the first step is artificially inseminating cows or buffaloes. Their babies are separated from them as and when they are born and male calves who are considered as by-products are sold for veal.

Participants will carry placards emblazoned with powerful messages advocating animal rights, while also raising their voices in unison through spirited chants. Engaging conversations with onlookers will be a key feature of the event, as activists aim to foster awareness about the ethical implications of animal exploitation. Nikitha Nath, the organizer of the event says “The movement has been growing exponentially since there is lot more awareness in the last decade“. “We are planning to do these events on a regular basis” she added. This meaningful event has been meticulously organized by the Vegan India Movement, a grassroots activist initiative devoted to promoting the ideals of veganism. Through “Freedom For All,” the movement seeks to instill a profound sense of responsibility towards animals and ignite conversations that challenge the status quo.
