Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)Celebrate 75th Foundation Day

BIS intends to spread the message of Quality & Standardization up to the lowest level.BIS, Kolkata Branch Office-1 is organising a door to door campaign named ‘Quality Connect’ in Kolkata, Howrah, East & West Medinipur, North & South 24 Parganas, East & West Bardhaman and Nadia district. The same will be carried out by 1150 volunteers(Manak Mitra) of these areas who will be called as ‘Manak Mitra’. The volunteers will go door to door and spread the message of BIS, benefits of purchasing ISI goods, Hallmark Jewellery etc & BIS Care App.

A flag off ceremony was organised at Syamaprasad College, Kolkata and Belur High School, Howrah today. The Manak Mitra's were encouraged to start the campaign from today 6th Jan, 2023 which will continue upto 9th Jan, 2023. The flag off was done by Shri Dibyendu Chakraborti,Deputy Director General, Eastern, BIS and Shri Atindra Chatterjee,Director, Head, Kolkata Branch Office-1, BIS.The Manak Mitra's are expeected to reach your home also.
